Why We Start with a Consultation
A wig is not a normal purchase. It's something you'll wear every day for years; it's part of your identity; and it's often tied to very personal moments — a wedding, motherhood, a health change. That's why, before we even start talking about products, we take the time to understand you.
At Rachel Hyman's salon in Ramat Beit Shemesh, the first consultation is always free. With no obligation. You can come, ask, try things on, go home to think, and decide at your own pace. This isn't a sales pitch — it's a real conversation.
What Happens in a Consultation?
Part 1: Getting to know you (15-20 minutes)
We sit with a cup of coffee and talk. Rachel asks:
- Is this your first wig, or do you already have one?
- What do you love and not love about your natural hair?
- What does your daily life look like — home, work, events, sports?
- What length and style feel like "you"?
- What budget feels comfortable to you?
- Is there something you tried before that didn't work?
There's no "stupid" question. If anything is unclear, we explain.
Part 2: Examination & assessment (15-20 minutes)
Rachel measures your head, looks at face shape, natural hair color, and skin tone. If you have an existing wig, she examines it: cap condition, hair quality, and what can be done with it (sometimes the answer isn't a new wig but renewing the existing one).
Part 3: Trying on (20-30 minutes)
Rachel selects 3-5 wigs that fit the analysis. You try each one on, look from multiple angles, and get an honest opinion — both on what flatters and what doesn't. If none feels right, no pressure — we re-analyze.
Part 4: Conclusions & recommendation (10-15 minutes)
At the end of the appointment you get a clear recommendation: what we think the right direction is, what the next steps are, and how much it costs. No pressure to buy that day. Many clients go home to think and come back when they're ready.
