Our commitment

Rachel Hyman Wigs is committed to providing equal, respectful service to all clients, including people with disabilities. This website was made accessible in accordance with Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.

Accessibility level

The site is designed to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines. It supports current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop and mobile.

What we did

• Full keyboard navigation, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
• Text-to-background colour contrast at the level the standard requires.
• Alternative text for images; decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
• A logical heading structure and a declared page language (Hebrew / English), including passages in another language.
• The testimonials carousel has a button to stop auto-scrolling, and it stays still for visitors who set "reduce motion" on their device.
• The layout adapts to any screen size and supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
• The site has no forms — contact is by phone or WhatsApp.

The accessibility menu

Every page has an accessibility button (the blue person icon in the corner of the screen). It lets you:

• Make text larger or smaller
• Switch to high contrast
• Highlight all links
• Switch to a more readable font
• Stop animations and motion

Your settings are saved in your browser as you move between pages.

Accessibility at the salon

The salon is in a private home at Nachal Sorek 32, Ramat Beit Shemesh, and works by appointment only. Services are provided at the salon.

• Entrance: a private entrance to the salon along an access path.
• Floor: the salon is on the ground floor.
• Parking: parking is available next to the salon. There is no designated disabled parking space.
• Restroom: there is no accessible restroom on site.

Every visit is arranged personally, so any adjustment you need can be planned ahead. Before your visit we will gladly explain how to reach the salon and find the right arrangement with you.
